The room was nicely decorated and airy with 2 twin beds. There were an electric kettle and a refrigerator in the room. - the location was perfect, just a few steps away from everywhere we wanted to go. - We could walk to both the harbor and the mountain from here.

The rooms were charming and spacious, with a lovely view. The location of the hotel was perfect, right in the heart of the city. The owner/manager was friendly and down-to-earth, making us feel welcome.

The WiFi was very slow and had a weak signal, making it difficult to use. The breakfast options were limited and the staff did not communicate the need to pre-order.

Close to centre of town, balcony, large room.

No breakfast, poor security, overhyped, noise from square below until midnight, uninterested/absent staff (when we arrived we had to wait 10 mins for anyone to appear to check us in and throughout our stay there was rarely anyone at reception). Overall a disappointing experience given the reviews. Not terrible, but not great either - I'm sure that there are better options in town.

The hotel is small and perfectly placed on the main Cathedral Square. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and always helpful. Our room was spacious and had a wonderful little balcony over the square which provided a great opportunity to watch the world go by. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a base in the centre of Chania. Breakfast in the hotel was brilliant and worth every penny - we were only charged 5 euros per day. Only one further comment for the disabled - the stairs are steep and I was not aware of a lift so if climbing stairs is difficult then this might not be for you. We loved our room and stay in the Vilelmine!!!

This hotel is an absolute gem in the heart of Chania's old city. The location couldn't be more perfect, right next to a beautiful church and within a 5-minute walk of the Venetian harbor and the main modern shopping area. The rooms are spacious, clean, and full of character and charm. One of the highlights is the wonderful balcony, where you can unwind and enjoy the view of the famous lighthouse. The attention to detail is evident, from the flowers in the room to the nice and cozy lights. The service provided by the friendly and helpful staff is top-notch.

No negatives, everything was just perfect.

Fantastic location and great views from balcony. Loved walking around the shops and old buildings surrounding hotel. Looks onto lovely open square and the old church. Nice rooms with character. Luckily they had a parking space for us in a nearby street as parking is very difficult to find in these narrow streets.

We found the beds uncomfortable as they are very hard. The double glazed windows are excellent for keeping out the noise which can be considerable in the square at night but as it got too hot in the room we had them open and definitely needed ear plugs. No hook for shower head, which we found to be common in Crete but makes washing hair difficult. Parking space a couple of streets away so if you have a lot of luggage it could be a pain.

Beautiful hotel, wonderfully furnished. Has everything you will need and brilliantly located. The staff were very helpful, advising us of where to park, and friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable with good facilities and a sweet balcony. The room and the hotel were both kept very clean.

Convenient location, close to harbor, bus station, and attractions. Helpful staff, clean and spacious rooms with a small balcony overlooking a beautiful cathedral. Great value for money. Fast wifi once we selected the correct account. Definitely recommended for a future visit to the area.

I have stayed in a few hotels in this area but nothing comes even close to Vilelmine. The building interior has a wonderful atmosphere. It combines the old with the new while being easy on the eye. The room and all areas in general feel really comfortable and shine with cleanliness. I could not believe at first that such a low price could buy this kind of comfort. Decoration of the room seemed really careful so as to make us feel welcome from the first minute. The view of the city cathedral from the room was magnificent and you just felt like you wanted to spend more time inside even though the beautiful old harbor of Chania and lots of interesting sights are no more than a couple of hundred meters away. Our room was perfectly clean and was cleaned again every morning while we were out. The staff was really friendly and helpful and it feels and looks like a family-ran business. I really have nothing negative to say about the hotel. The only fact that might be a little discomforting to people with disabilities is that the only way to get to the rooms is the stairs. For me this was probably the best hotel experience I ever had. I would definately recommend it to anyone who wants to visit the area.
